I’m currently thinking about migrating to WordPress
I’ve been happy with Blogger when I first started this site and it’s performed as expected. I’ve read many reviews and have seen many other Blogger sites, when I first made the choice of going with Blogger. They mostly agreed that this application is great for beginners because it provides everything you need to get started with a blog right away, but I’m not a beginner anymore and I don’t want that beginner stigma to stay with me.
The reason why I’m considering WordPress is because its far more customizable than Blogger. Granted you can create your own theme for Blogger, but it doesn’t do much else. I’d like to be able to add trackback links and skinnable comments so that when users do write comments, they are not taken to a different window for it. It doesn’t create that seamless environment, and as a designer, it would be neglectful of me to stick with default settings. In the creative realm, defaults scream novice.
So expect to see a change in the near future, as I will be migrating to WordPress soon enough.
